Gosh, I wonder how common tornadoes have been in  New England for the past 100 years?

A tornado forms live on the air just outside downtown Springfield, Mass., over the Connecticut River.

Extensive damage to buildings and cars is being reported, though no word on casualties as of yet.

A tornado watch remains in place for much of New England until 8PM this evening.
